All about Yoga: My Secret for Keeping it Cheap and Having at Home Practices.

Hey, there Yogi friends!

This post is all about Yoga...How I do it, why I do it, and how long I've been doing it.  

...Inhale...and Exhale.... 

I was never into any sort of workout routine, and, to this day, I hate the fact of making myself feel like I'm dying to feel good about my body. Call me crazy, but I'd rather have my heart rate increase slowly over a period of time than kick-start it into the next dimension.  That alone made me never want to better myself or even try for a constant workout routine. It's not that I've been "out-of-shape" because I've always been active, but even in middle school/highschool, I wasn't feeling those "agility days" or drawn-out basketball practices.  When I say basketball, don't get excited...C-Team...HELLOOO!!!  I wasn't good, but it was fun, and that's what it's about, right?

Anywho. I enter my early twenties. I'm 40 lbs heavier, my diet sucks, and I eat WAY too much pasta. I needed a way to make myself feel better again.  

That was when I was first introduced to the world Yoga (and a steady diet of 1200 calories or less).  It started with Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. Click here to view her channel. She's amazing!

I quickly found, however, that I wasn't into practicing with a YouTube video. It was hard for me to concentrate. Maybe I'm an oddball, but if this works for you, seriously...go try her out!

After my experience with Yoga with Adriene, I started searching for phone apps that taught you yoga practices, had kick ass music, and tracked how long your practiced for each day.  

That's when I discovered my favorite yoga tool, Down Dog. Click here to view it in the Google play Store. 

This is my tool for keeping my word to myself. This is my tool for relaxation and a small reset each morning. I can't get over the music selection, how easily customizable each practice is, and the overall benefit you get from using the app while being able to make each practice your own creation. If you've never practiced before or if you're experienced but you're looking for classes with a little more flexibility, please look into this. You won't regret it! 

Yoga was, and always has been, a sweet release for me. Have some life troubles stressing you out? Stretch it out!  I've been doing yoga for a total of 4 years now, and I've never felt better. I don't ache, but when I do, it's because I haven't practiced in a hot minute.. When you see me practicing at 4AM on my Insta stories?  I'm using this app. You can bet your bottom dollar! (:   

Anyways, I know once we get a little older, we start recognizing aches and pains that were never there before. Get a jumpstart on your overall body feel by checking out Down Dog. It's worth it!
